Thank you for visiting my 2017 Promise Walk for Preeclampsia fundraising page.
In 2013, preeclampsia unexpectedly, and completely, took over my life. It took a time that I anticipated would be full of joy, excitement, and laughter, and turned it into an education in hospitalizations, NICU life, premature babies, risk of stroke and seizures, and endless medical appointments.
Today, my son continues his endless work to catch up, while my health is carefully monitored by doctors weighing my increased risk of stroke and heart disease. It's been almost 4 years, but the shadow of preeclampsia still lingers. That's why I work to raise awareness and funds for the Preeclampsia Foundation in their efforts to offer support, educations, awareness, advocacy, and research. I pray that in my lifetime, we will see a day when no child is born too early, and no mother's life is at risk due to preeclampsia, HELLP syndrome, or other pregnancy-related hypertensive disorders.
I am grateful for your donations and for your help in spreading the word about preeclampsia. My goal is to help our community raise funds and awareness and save the lives of moms and babies!
Please make a donation to support our efforts to fund education and research into this life-threatening disorder of pregnancy.
