Thank you for visiting my 2018 Promise Walk for Preeclampsia fundraising page.
You may or may not know our family's story and why Preeclampsia awareness and research is so important to us.
In 2008, in the 25th week of my first pregnancy, I became extremely ill and was diagnosed with preeclampsia which had progressed into a condition called HELLP syndrome. Sadly, our daughter Anna was stillborn as a result. While my physical health improved soon after delivery, the emotional wounds do not heal so easily. Fortunately, under close watch of an MFM, I was able to have a successful subsequent pregnancy and gave birth to Lilly a year and a half later. Experiencing the loss of one daughter and the birth of another was life-altering and has motivated me to help raise awareness and funding for research, so that preeclampsia no longer threatens the lives of mothers and babies.
I am grateful for your donations and for your help in spreading the word about preeclampsia. My goal is to help our community raise funds and awareness and save the lives of moms and babies!
Please make a donation to support our efforts to fund education and research into this life-threatening disorder of pregnancy.
