Derik Reikofski | Because of Jeni

Some of you know the heart breaking story of Jeni Faustman already and some of you do not. For those of you that don't, here's her story; our WHY for the walk: Jeni is the identical twin sister of my beautiful wife, Steph Reikofski… see what I did there?? (Brownie Points!!). Jeni, from the short time I knew her was always one to help others, make sure things were in order and people were smiling. She was a giver in the true sense of the word. Jeni and Mike were married Sept 6th 2013, and like some married couples were pregnant shortly thereafter. What started out to be a “normal” pregnancy ended with a situation no husband, father, mother, sister, and family should have to endure.  Jeni gave birth to Robbie on July 10th 2014 and after compilations with Preeclampsia, passed away 2 days later.  Jeni in a true nature was an organ donor.  And because of this she was able to save/impact multiple lives with one final gift.

Our mission is purely to increase awareness and educate everyone involved in the pregnancy journey so other families can hopefully avoid a similar tragedy.

If you feel so inclined please make a donation to support our efforts to fund education and research into this life-threatening disorder of pregnancy.

Thank you for your support!
