Thank you for visiting my 2017 Promise Walk for Preeclampsia fundraising page.
I am grateful for your donations and for your help in spreading the word about preeclampsia. My goal is to help our community raise funds and awareness and save the lives of moms and babies!
As a two time preeclampsia survivor, I understand the importance of all the work that the Preeclampsia Foundation does to provide education, support, and awareness to survivors and their families. I also know how important research is to providing better treatment, diagnosis and risk reduction for pregnant and postpartum women and how the Preeclampsia Foundation supports ethical and innovative research projects.
My first daughter was born 11 weeks early as a result of early onset severe preeclampsia. After our experience, I wanted to make sure that I could do everything possible to educate women about this life threatening condition and provide support. That is why I am now a member of the Patient Advisory Council for the Preeclampsia Foundation.
Our second daughter was delivered at 37 weeks due to late onset preeclampsia. As a two time preeclampsia survivor I am aware that my daughters have up to a 50% increased likelihood of having preeclampsia during their pregnancies. That is why I know it is more important than ever to support the Preeclampsia Foundation so that more research and education can go into finding better treatment options and ultimately a cure for them.
