May is Preeclampsia Awareness Month

Take the Preeclampsia Pledge this May in honor of Preeclampsia Awareness Month!
As a nationally recognized health observance, Preeclampsia Awareness Month presents the perfect opportunity for the Preeclampsia Foundation to offer education and events that will increase awareness of this life-threatening disorder of pregnancy, which occurs in up to eight percent of all pregnancies.      Preeclampsia is a life-threatening disorder of pregnancy related to high blood pressure in the second and third trimesters. Every expecting mother should know the signs and symptoms and report to their health care provider should they experience any of these 7 common symptoms.
