Thank you for visiting our 2017 Promise Walk for Preeclampsia fundraising page.
As many of you know, our family was deeply affected by preeclampsia. I was diagnosed with preeclampsia at 25 weeks and placed on bed rest; Nora was born at 31 weeks and 2.5 pounds, and spent 30 days in the NICU. Overall, preeclampsia affects an estimated 5-8% of pregnancies worldwide, and is one of the leading causes of deaths for pregnant moms.
We know we were one of the lucky families affected by preeclampsia, but we want others to have as good an outcome as our family. There is very, very little research done on pregnant women on treatments for women with preeclampsia, so Team aNORAbles is raising money to fund research to help other families.
We hope that you decide to make a donation to the Preeclampsia Foundation and the Promise Walk. But we are equally grateful if you read about preeclampsia and spread the word on the symptoms of preeclampsia as early detection can improve outcomes for mother and baby.
Please make a donation to support our efforts to fund education and research into this life-threatening disorder of pregnancy.
