Thank you for visiting my 2018 Promise Walk for Preeclampsia fundraising page.
Here is a little information to help you understand who inspired "Team Vera." Vera Joy was born Sunday February 4, 2018 weighing 11.6 ounces and measuring 10.25 inches.
Her Mother was diagnosed with severe early onset preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome at only 23 weeks. Just three short weeks before this she had a normal OB appointment and MFM appointment with normal growth and vitals (including blood pressure). Due to the rapid progression and severity of the disease, Vera had to be born, or neither she nor her Mother would make it. Vera was born alive at 23 weeks 2 days gestation and was surrounded by her loving family and friends for her entire life. Her parents are now left grieving the loss of their precious daughter while also trying to do everything they can to try and prevent this from happening in the future.
I am grateful for your donations and for your help in spreading the word about preeclampsia. My goal is to help our community raise funds and awareness so we can save the lives of moms and babies!
Please make a donation to support our efforts to fund education and research into this life-threatening disorder of pregnancy.
