SENSational Strides

Welcome to the SENSational Strides Team Page.

Our first born, Annabelle, was born at 31 weeks 2 days due to severe early onset preeclampsia, something we knew very little about until it happened to us.   Annabelle was just 2 lbs 15 oz at birth and she spent 48 days in the NICU.  She faced several complications as a result of prematurity and it was a very scary time for us.  But today, Annabelle is a happy and healthy 3-year old.

Lingering hypertension from the preeclampsia in our first pregnancy plagued us during our second pregnancy and was likely a contributing factor in the still birth of our son, Hunter Michael, on June 22, 2016 as the result of a placental abruption.

So while we are so grateful that our daughter has done so well, we continue and forever will mourn the loss of our beautiful son.

Both our children are why we were excited to learn about the Promise Walk.  This will be our first year participating in the walk but we hope we can help "make strides and deliver hope" for families affected by preeclampsia, HELLP syndrome and other hypertensive disorders of pregnancy.

We hope you consider joining us on Saturday, July 15th at the North Park Boathouse for the walk.  Activities begin at 8:30AM and the walk is at 10AM with food, refreshments, games and more to follow.

Want to join our team to make strides? Just click the "Join Our Team" button and register! Registration to attend the Promise Walk is free to all participants.

Thank you for visiting our team page! Our team is grateful for your donations and for your help in spreading the word.

Much Love,

Amanda and Brian Sens
